Hotel barge Clair de Lune will cruise a new route on the 330-year-old Canal du Midi in France between July 17 and September 24. The cruise will take guests between the picturesque city of Trebes near Carcassonne and the town of Naurouze, the highest point on the Canal. The company is also offering a saving off full boat charter prices for all July and August when booked by February 15.

It’s quite a relaxing and gentle voyage through some of the most delightful countryside in the South of France. Guests will coast past canal-side villages and under charming bridges that make this waterway so special.

Clair de Lune accommodates up to six passengers, served by a crew of four that includes a gourmet master chef and an English speaking guide. It features a sun deck, spa pool, Wi-Fi, and six touring bikes for exploring the ever-present towpath.

Among the new itinerary highlights is a cruise across the Fresquel aqueduct, a private wine tasting in Limoux, tour of old Cathar town of Castelnaudary, home of the classic French dish, cassoulet, and a tour of the medieval fortified city of Carcassonne.
